Ways For Navigating The Job Search Process

Monday, March 29th, 2010

Especially in tough economic times, finding the perfect job can be challenging. In some cases, especially if you really need the job, you might have to settle for something less than perfect.

You can take some steps to ensure that you don’t end up in such a job. These steps will help you in finding that one job that suits you the best in terms of remuneration, job satisfaction, future growth and many other benefits as well.

If you enjoy working in a particular field, then you should try to network with people in that field. This way, there is always a possibility that you might get a job in the field of your interest. Networking also helps you in finding a job that otherwise does not get advertised.

Try to reflect about the things that you didn’t like in your previous job in order to not repeat the same mistake again. If you are uncertain about what you want, try taking a personality test which may help enlighten you on who you really are.

You should also make sure that your resume is up to date, and that it accurately highlights not only your past experience but also your overall strengths. When submitting a resume, you should update it as needed for the specific type of job you want.

Always add references that specifically pertain to the field in which you are applying for a job. This can help you in finding that right job.

Working with a recruiter can also be extremely helpful when job hunting. Recruiters have the type of contacts that can help you find the perfect job, especially for higher pay scale positions.

Job fairs can also be a great way of meeting potential employers, especially if you are looking for entry-level positions. Internet job listing sites are also a good resource to use when looking for the perfect job.

How To Nail Tough Job Interview Questions

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

Congratulations on your graduation. Earning your college degree, whether from an online university or traditional campus is something to be proud of, but now is when the work really begins. In addition to getting a haircut and polishing your resume, you need to take some time to prepare for hard questions during the job interview process.

1. Will you share your teamwork experience? Even if you’ve never had a job before, there are likely good examples of teamwork in your background. Was there a group project in school or a charitable effort in your home town that you participated in? Any example will do as long as the interviewer can see how you worked in a group.

2. What happened to your last job? Unless you’ve never worked before, why you left a past position can shed a lot of light to prospective employers. Keep your comments positive, even if you had a bad experience. Discuss your needs and strengths rather than the shortcomings of former bosses or companies.

3. How do you see yourself in ten years? While lollygagging on a beach does indeed sound lovely, the person posing the question wants a glimpse of your work ethic, not your hobbies. They also want to know if you plan on staying in the area and want to put down some roots. This is where you’ll respond with how you see your career advancing in a decade and the areas in which you see yourself thriving.

4. What are your salary requirements? This subject should always be introduced by the interviewer, not you. Do your homework and know what people in various regions make for similar positions that you are going for. Make sure that you communicate that you are flexible, but competitive in your expectations. Another thing to remember is that benefits such as 401k, insurance and education reimbursement could go a long way toward filling in the gap of a slightly lower salary.

Know as much about the company as you can possibly find out and then spend time on packaging yourself in the event of difficult questions. Put your best foot forward and exude confidence (even if you have to fake it at first) and you should do just fine as you leave college life behind and enter the work force.

MLM Leaders, Secrets Unveiled!

Saturday, January 2nd, 2010

Are you looking for some of the top leaders in our business? Well you have come to the right place. In this article I will tell you who are some of the best in our business and how they got there.

Dennis Karganilla Jimmy Davis Buck Reed Ann Sieg David Wood Aaron Rashkin Sherri Sharman Mike Dillard

The list goes on and on. And I apologize to any top dogs who are reading this if I missed you out. But this short list here are the giants in our business that I can think of off the top of my head. So what do all these leaders have in common and what is their secret?

Well, it’s quite simple really. There is no magical bullet or secret formula. They are all just extremely hard working individuals who went out there are worked and worked and worked. Each and every single one of them are students of the industry who continue to educate themselves and probably own thousands of dollars worth of training and education on network marketing.

And the single most common trait is that they are all people of ACTION! They learn and quickly APPLY what has been taught to them so that they can get results as quickly as possible. They don’t take no for an answer and are simply relentless.

Now, if you’re asking yourself if you need all these traits to become successful in this business, the answer is no. But what you do need to do is take action. You need to be consistent. And you need to want to educate yourself so that you can improve your skill set. Do that, and you’ll have an advantage over 90% of the network marketers out there.

But let’s take closer look at this group of MLM leaders. Some are offline marketers but the majority are online marketers. Well why is that? It’s because it is much harder to become successful in this business if you only use an offline strategy. When I say offline I’m talking about the traditional methods of marketing your MLM business. Speaking to friends and family, making cold calls, having home parties, having 3 way calls etc.

You can make a lot of money using these strategies and a lot of people have, but for the average person, they are some of the most ineffective marketing strategies out there. Most people don’t have the right personality, the tenacity or the will power to battle on the phone every single day, prospect strangers on the street or know enough people to have full home parties every single week. And that’s ok because all these things are hard to do. These strategies should really be left to the few people who have the personality and resources to pull it off. Because unless you are very good at these prospecting strategies, you will not make good money in multi level marketing. Period!

Is there a better way? Definitely! Like I said, most of these leaders use the Internet to market to the masses.

Why hassle your friends and family when you can use online tools to target groups of prospects who believe in the business model?

Why limit yourself to people in your town when you can market to the entire world using the Internet?

Why run around to meetings all day when you can run a real business from your computer desk at home?

Why waste energy training every single one of your new prospects when you can do this instantly by leveraging tools online?

And the questions keep going and going. It’s quite easy to see that the real secret of most of these top leaders is the commitment they have to the business. But beyond that, it is the tools they use, the way they get their message out, and how they can market to the masses that makes the difference.

There are many amazing MLM trainers out there in our business. If you want to find out exactly how a lot of these leaders were able to become the best in our business and learn their secrets, Aaron Chen’s MLM Leaders article reveals all the secrets you need to know to explode your business.

Teeth Whitening Toothpastes

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

There are many kinds of teeth whitening products available to the would-be teeth whitener, and whitening toothpastes are just one kind. Whitening toothpastes are a different breed of whitener than most others, for they do not contain any bleaching agent; they do not contain hydrogen peroxide.

Instead of being a bleaching whitener, they are abrasive whiteners. This means that they contain abrasive materials which effectively “sand” your teeth; they grind away any discoloring materials. This is only so effective; if you have especially dark teeth, you may find that whitening toothpastes are not sufficient to lighten your teeth.

Controversy

Many often wonder if whitening toothpaste has any merit. Their reasoning is as follows: fluoride toothpaste used to clean teeth does so through the use of abrasive materials, so there is little difference between them and whitening toothpastes.

Some whitening toothpaste has more abrasive material than regular toothpaste. However, when too much abrasive material is used, it can cause sensitive teeth and gums. One common abrasive material is baking soda, which is the best and most effective abrasive.

Baking Soda

When compared to other teeth whitening toothpaste abrasives, baking soda is very effective. But, buying toothpaste containing it is not necessary, as you can simply make one yourself. Simply mix a dash of hydrogen peroxide with a pinch of baking soda in a bowl to create a very effective teeth whitener. Since hydrogen peroxide is a bleaching agent used in more effective whiteners, you will get the best of both abrasive whiteners and bleaching whiteners.

Rembrandt

Rembrandt toothpaste, being a whitening toothpaste, contains abrasive materials. However, it contains less than most other whitening toothpastes. Therefore, Rembrandt is less harmful to your gums and teeth than other whitening toothpastes, and it is recommended for those with sensitive teeth.

Pearl White

Pearl White is a very effective whitening toothpaste and is often given by a dentist to a patient who has just undergone an intense whitening treatment, such as laser teeth whitening. To use it, one needs to use a dry toothbrush on dry teeth, brush in circles for one minute on both the top and bottom sets of teeth, and rinse with warm water when finished. This does not replace a regular, fluoride toothpaste, so one must still use a fluoride toothpaste after using Pearl White.

Pearl White creates long lasting, immediate results, and is therefore much more effective than most over-the-counter teeth whitening toothpastes. So, it is recommended over all other whitening toothpastes.

Whitening toothpastes are useful when used as maintenance items after a procedure, but they will never be as effective as bleaching whiteners. Naturally, users who desire a great change in the color of their teeth will be unsatisfied with the results of whitening toothpastes and should resort to teeth whitening products which contain a bleaching agent.
